Volunteer: Senior Lunch Service

The Montrose Diner is more than a meal - it's connection, community and new friendships in an LGBTQ+ affirming space. Located at the Law Harrington Senior Living Center (2222 Cleburne St, Houston, TX 77004), we're open Monday - Friday starting at 9:30am, with lunch served at noon.

Volunteers help bring the space to life each day - brewing coffee, setting out activities, and creating a welcoming vibe for our seniors and visitors. As lunchtime approached, you'll help serve meals, share conversations, and keep the good energy going. Afterward, we team up to clean and reset for the next day.

A food handler certification is required to volunteer, but no worries, we'll cover the cost. Just reach out to the Volunteer Coordinator to get signed up.

If you enjoy meeting new people, sharing a laugh, and making someone's day a little brighter, we'd love to have you join us.

Volunteer: Senior Food Box Deliveries

  SPRY Senior Food Deliveries

Good nutrition is important at any age, and never more so than in later years. A healthy diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean meat or fish, and starches such as brown rice or whole-grain pasta helps provide seniors with the nutrients they need.

However, staying healthy and eating well isn’t always easy for seniors. The Montrose Center’s SPRY Program, Seniors Preparing for Rainbow Years, is seeking energetic volunteers who are willing to donate their time and self in assisting in delivering meals to our senior community members.  All volunteers need to check-in at the SPRY Suite on the 2nd Floor in the Law Harrington Senior Center

Time: 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

Location: Law Harrington Senior Living Center, 2222 Cleburne St, Houston, TX 77004

Dress Code: Casual - jeans/shorts/athletic shoes - most likely will get sweaty

Contact Person(s) – Fred Reninger freninger@montrosecenter.org

Your safety
Our top priority is everyone’s health and well-being. You must be able to comfortably lift 25 lb boxes
